DID YOU KNOW...

- Not all Jewelers Tools are the same – a fairly obvious statement, however, often overlooked because of a low price. For example, when shopping for low cost “economical” pliers, inspect the pivot joint. Does it have a “Lap Joint” or “Box Joint”. “Lap Joint” pliers are prone to side play and misalignment of the jaws. “Box Joints” eliminate side play and maintain jaw alignment even under stress. Always go with the “Box Joint”.

Before buying an “economical” tool, compare what you find to a similar high-end tool. In today’s competitive environment, you can find very nice quality tools and very reasonable prices. “Economical” tools are fine for occasional use, but for day-to-day use high-end tools will last you for years.

- Some Platinum Investment Removers are being diluted so that they can be sold to you at a low price. Beware and stay away. To avoid being caught in this low price trap, start to keep track of how long a bottle of Platinum Investment Remover lasts – how many flasks are you really able to clean before you need to replace the solution? The low priced remover many actually be costing you considerably more than you think.

Products such as our “J” Break are sold at “full- Strength” - as a result, more flasks can be cleaned before the solution needs to be replaced.

- JEWELCAD jewelry design software is the only software on the market that was designed by jewelers for jewelers. Only a basic knowledge of computers is needed to master the software to design rings, bracelets, pendants, earrings, etc.

- Models made of copper or containing copper alloys (i.e. sterling silver) may react adversely with most mold rubbers (models may stick to the molds). To prevent this from happening, the models should be first plated with Rhodium.
