Before starting, we just want to make a reminder that every printer and resin has a different ideal set of parameters. Today we are using a Tiger 3D HD with the Burgundy Resin and we are using the software included with the machine to complete the print. The Burgundy Resin is the most ideal for finely detailed objects and for casting jewelry.

Below, you can see what your screen should look like when opening your browser to the printer. The settings are on the left, with a preview of the model to be printed on the right.

Cure Time - For our Burgundy resin we recommend a cure time of 4.8 seconds. Cure times and base curing times are usually the only new parameters that must be changed when changing resins. We also highly recommend having a resin tank for each type of resin to prevent cross contamination. Although they can be cleaned, there may be very tiny particles that remain and can ruin a print.

Speed - This parameter should always be set to slow for precision printing. This will ensure that the best possible quality print is performed.

Gap Adjustment - This should be at zero every time. This would be to offset a machine that has not been properly calibrated, but ideally all machines should always be calibrated. If you need your machine calibrated, the technicians at Romanoff can come to you and calibrate the machine for you.

Base Layer - The base layer is what will secure the rest of the print during the stresses of growing; Gravity, Peeling, and Alignment. We use 0.3mm for our Burgundy resin.

Base Cure Time - The base is what ensures the parts will grow safely and securely to the aluminum build picker platform. Each resin will have a different time but we recommend 50 seconds for the Burgundy resin.

Buffer Layers - These layers will separate the base of the model from the desired 3D printed object. Because the base of the model is much denser than the rest of the model, there must be a series of progressively thinner layers to ensure that the model will form correctly.
