Brand Tiger3D Solidscape
Printing Material Tiger 3D uses resin, which is very hard and rigid. Solidscape prints directly to wax, perfect for casting.
Open/Closed System

Tiger3D features an open system, meaning you can use any photopolymer resin that will react with the UV light. Tiger also makes a variety of resins to suit your needs.

Solidscape uses a closed system, meaning you may only use Solidscape materials inside of it. No other materials will work properly inside of the machine.
Build Speed All Tiger3D Printers have rapid print speeds, capable of printing up to 10 rings per hour on a Tiger XL. The build time on Solidscapes is longer but is heavily dependant on the size and number of models being printed. The speed increases from each model, with the S390 being the fastest printer.
Build Envelope Depending on which machine you purchase the build envelope will vary, with the XHD having the smallest but highest resolution at 57x32x120 mm and 25um resolution, and the XXL having the biggest build envelope with 150x84.4x120mm with 78um resolution.  Solidscape 3D Printers feature up to 5um resolutions and large build envelopes. 152x152x51mm for S Series printers or 152x152x26mm for the 3z Studio.
Supports The supports must be manually placed with software to ensure the model will build correctly. This process can be time consuming and if done incorrectly the model will not print. The support material is automatically placed by the software. Once the model is loaded into the software there are no other steps.
Post Processing After the print is finished, the supports must be removed by hand using a knife or other sharp tools. It is typically recomended to leave the base of the support attached to the model while casting and removed after it has been cast. Solidscape features dissolvable supports, which means that the post processing will always be effortless and quick. It also ensures that the finished casting will be perfectly smooth without the need for retouching.
